Values
Up - The purpose of our MS/HS Youth Ministry is to point youth toward God -- teaching them about who they are and whose they are! We focus on the Gospel and encouraging the students toward knowing and being rooted in their identity as Christ’s children.
In - We try to balance play & purpose, and invitation & challenge in hopes of encouraging and motivating each other to try and live differently than what secular times may expect from us. We welcome anyone, no matter where they are at in their questioning or pursuit of Jesus. We are all at different places in our relationship with Jesus and that is okay, and no one is exempt from His love.
Out - We believe by building relationships between students and leaders and student-to-student, we can equip each other to live out the command of “go and tell the nations the good news!” We trust that God will use each of us as leaders and student leaders to reach the masses that He cares about even more than we could fathom. We celebrate being able to live into His will and purpose for our lives.
Come and join us on this lifelong adventure of learning and trusting in a Father who loves us infinitely more than we could ask or imagine.
When and Where
GYM Middle School:
Sunday Mornings
Students will begin in Sunday morning service where they can participate in worship until they are released at connection time. They are welcome to sit with the adults they arrived with or find the section of students sitting together near the front.
When they are released, they will exit with the leaders and head to either South Hall (on the main level) or the conference room (across from the coffee bar).
During this time, there will be games, a lesson, activities, and a snack. Students can be picked up at the above locations, or they will be upstairs in the activity room.
GYM High School:
Sunday Nights
We are currently joining Birmingham Kensington’s Edge youth group that meets at our church on Sunday nights from 5:00pm-7:00pm. During this time, there is dinner, worship, a lesson, and small group break-outs based on gender and grade.
Drop off and pick up from the west parking lot doors.
