About Us

What do we believe?

"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, there is neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28 

This verse epitomizes God’s welcoming attitude, and as Christ followers, we adopt this attitude as well.  All are welcome, and we genuinely mean that!

Following God is a journey that continues throughout life. At Genesis the Church, we firmly believe there is a specific purpose for each follower of Jesus. Our belief is affirmed in Romans 12:4-5:

"For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."

We believe the journey of a Christ follower is easier and more effectively done together. Surrounded by people of love who have voices loud with hope and justice, we can be conformed more and more into the likeness of Jesus.  

We take the instructions and teachings of the Bible seriously, and we believe God is looking to not only dwell among His people but to do immeasurably more in, for and through us.
