Arts, Beats and Eats

Arts, Beats and Eats is coming to Royal Oak Labor Day weekend September 3-6. All leftover food is being donated to Forgotten Harvest to feed the hungry. Genesis will be packaging all donated food for distribution. This is where we need you. Everyone willing to help must have food handling certification. On Sunday, June 27, a food handling class will be held following the Sunday gathering in the Fellowship Hall. Gift of Life (Red Cross Blood Drive)
Mark your calendars for Thursday, July 22, from 2 - 8 p.m. to donate blood to the American Red Cross. We need 35 people donors in order to meet our quota. Sign up today to participate in this life-giving endeavor -- the need is constant -- the gratification is instant. Please give blood!

Family Camp - August 12-15
A perfect retreat for families of all ages. Two full days, three nights, 7 meals, 4 chapel sessions, tons of activities, great childcare and kids programming, nice facility, and a chance to get to know other families. Willow Creek Leadership Summit
Join us on Thursday and Friday, August 5-6 at Grace Community Church in Detroit for an amazing training opportunity. The Leadership Summit exists to transform Christian leaders around the world with an annual injection of vision, skill development, and inspiration for the sake of the local church. Community Summit
Join us for lunch immediately following the Sunday gathering on July 18, for a community potluck in the fellowship hall. This will be a great opportunity to connect and meet people from the Genesis community. Bring your appetite and a peanut/tree nut free dish to pass.

COFFEE, CONNECTIONS, COMMUNITY

Now is your chance to fulfill your dream to be a coffee barista, Genesis-style! The Coffee Team at both services needs volunteers, and the Detroit service Connections Team needs extra help after the service. Meals Team
Do you enjoy cooking and helping others? Why not combine two of your passions and cook for the Genesis Meals Team? The Meals Team serves families who have had a baby, recent medical procedure, illness or death in the family. Meal requests are filled by responding to an email, so you only contribute as much time as you have to give. Please contact Jessica Ballard at 248-542-7875 or jessicapottballard@hotmail.com.

Emergency Food Closet
Every week people come to the office in need of immediate assistance for food. On site we have a small food closet to help bridge the gap for those in need. Genesis needs your help to restock its emergency food closet with specific items. If you can help, please bring the food with you to the Genesis building on Sundays or weekdays during office hours.

For Persons without Kitchen Facilities: Tuna/Chicken/Ham Kits, Canned Fruit (With Pop-top), Juice Boxes, Peanut Butter & Crackers and Cheese and Crackers

Vegetables (Canned), Pasta, Spaghetti Sauce, Crackers, Peanut Butter, Soup (Dried or Canned), Cereal, Dried or Canned Milk, Tuna Fish, and Juice.
